Science Outreach in San Diego
Want to see neuroscience in action? NeuwriteSD members frequently join local organizations and communities to share science across San Diego. Below you’ll find a bit about what we’ve done in the past.
Please contact us if you’d like to work with us for a future event–or if you’d like to join us for any of these programs or events!
NeuWriteSD is helping to plan San Diego’s Pint of Science Festival in May 2016. The Pint of Science Festival is a three day, international event that brings scientists into bars to give fun, informative talks to the public.
NeuWriteSD and Pint of Science SD will also be collaborating with The Wet Lab, Wavelength Brewing Co., and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center to organize a series of outreach events for adults, as part of the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering in March 2016.
NeuWriteSD helped develop the UCSD Neuro Outreach Teacher Training Program, which works with local high school teachers to promote an accessible, laboratory-style approach of teaching neuroscience to high school students. We invite you to take a look at the free, open-access curriculum.
